Drowning.
Why is it I find myself drowning?
It’s like the current is running against me and I’m choking on the salty water that is so persistent in overtaking me.
I don’t want to suffocate. But I feel like there’s nothing I can do about the water simply pulling me under and never escaping.
I miss the fresh air and hate the watery grave I’m struggling so hard to escape. I want to walk again on the sandy shore and feel the dry earth.
The water is in love with me and does not want me to leave it.
Sometimes I feel I should just let it have what it wants.
